As Sr. Product Manager of Video you will drive the video product strategy and vision by leading the planning, implementation and release of video programs across our digital platforms. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging video trends to create and develop innovative video products.

Candidates should have knowledge of procedures, process, and best practices of experiences in the online video space. All candidates should be conversant in the video monetization markets and be highly motivated self-starters to drive meaningful performance impact.

This role requires a strong relationship with the sales, client solutions, and content, development and technical operations organizations. This role manages a team of other super talented video product professionals.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and own the video product plan for iterative releases; communicating the product strategy, launch plans, and roadmap features that deliver usage , growth and incremental monetization

Work with web development and UX teams to conduct opportunity assessments, determine business requirements and implementation, addressing scalability, iterative development, and strategic planning.

Take responsibility for delivery, and ensure the project completes timely and with required functionality

Work with editorial producers to ensure on site product performance and identify feature enhancements.

Day-to-day management and operations of the video product experiences, striving to ensure that we meet the needs of our users and advertising partner.

Partner with Content, Advertising, and Business Development teams to develop holistic cross-platform video content and monetization strategies for managed products.

Collaborate with business development to assess partnership and licensing opportunities, providing guidance on technical infrastructure and implementation.

Manage operational relationship with strategic partners (especially Brightcove, YouTube)

Partner with Audience and Media product leads to deliver innovative new video experiences highlighting the weather.com brand and content.

Support in the maintenance of an ongoing product roadmap and product schedule that supports business objectives, ensuring on-time and on-budget product launches

Manage regular reporting on KPIs and user experience feedback

Work with marketing and PR to increase depth of coverage of product

C. QUALIFICATIONS

8-10 years online experience and preferably several years of experience in online video

Demonstrated success defining and launching web-based video products

Comprehension of basic online video fundamentals including: API’s, feeds, XML, HTML, referral traffic, video playback, Flash restrictions, video advertising solutions.

Experience in online video or video production/operations with a strong working knowledge of video technologies including content ingestion, encoding, player features and functionality.

Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment, preferred

Proficient in video SEO best practices

Experience managing large-scale consumer website products (sites with 5 million+ users).

Ability to work well and communicate effectively with members of multiple teams.

Team player with the ability to prioritize and manage projects within a fast-paced environment

Deep understanding of web practice, procedures and consumers

Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and projects

Job Summary: Edit video for long and short format programs. Broadband content , and promotional spots for Scripps Networks. The Video Editor can edit on multiple platforms within the department and possesses exceptional technical and creative skills.
Duties and responsibilities: Work in parallel with producers and clients to develops, create and edit spots and programs that are consistent with client’s goals and objectives. Perform advanced video editing with or without client supervision or direction. Complete assignments and projects within deadline parameters given. Log and digitize raw footage into Avid editing systems. Responsible for technical quality of all audio and video elements produced in the edit bay. Assures that all projects meet Quality Control standards and Deliverables set by Networks. Provide project management guidance with specific attention to collaborative work flows and deadlines with producers, designers, and other editors.  Develop, cultivate and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships at the professional and management level within and outside the organization. Document daily work completed via work orders. Perform other Post Production duties as needed and as directed by the Manager of Post Production.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Comprehensive understanding and mastery of Avid editing platform. Creative story teller via edited video. Ability to edit montage type video sequences to various cuts of music. Work well under deadline-oriented atmosphere. Comprehensive understanding of Avid, video effects and plug-ins. Comprehensive understanding of routers, control panels, waveform monitors and patch panels. Comprehensive ability with color correction techniques and color gamut parameters. Ability to guide multiple, simultaneous projects. Ability to collaborate and work within a team atmosphere. Ability to take constructive feedback and incorporate suggested ideas into projects.
